UPGRADES
While the core game is free, optional upgrades let you tailor your campaign—choose your faction and starting territory size. Unleash chaos in fantasy battles that pit any two cultures against each other with as many warriors as your device can handle! For the ultimate control, you can even edit every character in the world, though please note the game dynamically manages up to 1,000 active characters at a time.
CONTROLS
When controlling an individual warrior, choose between the “Classic” one-handed system or the “Dual Wield” mode for independent hand control. If you're new to the series, simply pause the action by tapping the timeline to access a detailed “Controls” guide. Also, watch for in-game scrolls and books that provide helpful hints.
Switch control between team members anytime by tapping their health bar or directly selecting them on the battlefield. Use the arrows at the screen’s bottom to enter “Commander” mode, where you direct any ally by swiping from their position to a target. They’ll interpret your command—whether to move, attack, or interact—though they’ll act according to their own situational awareness and priorities.
Regardless of your device or control style, you can always zoom the view by pinching at the center of the screen.
MAP
In the main “Campaign” mode, expand your territory by moving units between connected regions. You can “fortify” a held area or launch an attack on a rival’s land. Note that only 50% of a territory’s units can be mobilized for an attack, making defense inherently easier than invasion.
The population in controlled territories grows each round, so securing more land is crucial. Units also gradually heal over time, so rotating your focus between different fronts each turn is a sound strategy.
PERFORMANCE
Please be aware this is my most ambitious large-scale game to date and may require a high-end device for optimal performance. To improve frame rates, try lowering the “Population” setting to reduce on-screen characters or adjust other options in the “Display” menu.
