Hollow Era, a Roblox game inspired by the iconic Bleach anime, offers players an immersive experience as either a Shinigami (Soul Reaper) or a Hollow. This guide focuses on the Shinigami path, detailing everything from character progression to advanced skills like Shikai and Visored transformation.
At the start of the game, you play as a Soul Spirit—a soul lingering after death. To become a Shinigami, seek out the NPC known as the Hurt Shinigami and accept her quest. Once accepted, you commit fully to the Soul Reaper path—you can no longer switch to Hollow unless you later become a Visored.
Be quick during the class selection phase:
If that happens, refer to our guide on Hollow resurrection mechanics for recovery options.

Your first mission involves purifying six Lost Souls, aligning with the Shinigami’s role in maintaining balance between life and death. After completing this, speak with the NPC next to the Hurt Shinigami to receive a delivery quest—deliver a letter to a doctor near the hospital.

Use early quests to familiarize yourself with core mechanics:
Quests are always marked with a red crosshair, guiding you through defeating Hollows, gripping corrupted enemies, and progressing up to level 15.
Types of quests include:

Maximize your potential by strategically allocating skill points across the Reiatsu Skill Tree. As a Shinigami, you gain access to Kido spells, each offering unique combat advantages:
Invest wisely to unlock more potent Kido and increase both spell potency and maximum Reiatsu.
Reach level 15 and visit Urihiro to begin Shikai Training. Complete the trial by defeating Urahara Kisuke to unlock Shikai powers.

Tip: If Kisuke proves too tough, consider grinding to level 25 before attempting the fight.
Upon activation, your weapon gains a random ability. Dissatisfied with the result? Re-roll it at the Urahara Shop using in-game currency.
A Rage Bar fills with every hit taken or dealt. When full, press Y (default) to activate Shikai. It deactivates when your Reiatsu runs out or upon releasing the key.
Mastery Points accumulate as you use Shikai skills. Higher Mastery Levels reduce Rage consumption and enhance visual effects:
Each level unlocks stronger visuals and performance boosts.
Once you reach level 50, you gain access to the Vizard fighting style, allowing dual-class progression as both Shinigami and Hollow.
To proceed:
This opens the door to Hollow-based abilities while retaining your Soul Reaper identity.

As of now, Bankai is not available in the game. However, given the game's popularity, it's likely to be introduced in a future update. Stay tuned for announcements regarding this ultimate Soul Reaper ability.
Remember, Shinigami gameplay is generally smoother than Hollow, which often involves repetitive tasks.
