The 2025 Oscar nominations for the 97th Academy Awards have been revealed, and Emilia Pérez, a Spanish crime thriller directed by Jacques Audiard, is dominating the nominations with an impressive 13 nods. This marks the highest number of nominations for a non-English language film in the history of the Oscars.

The nominations were announced on January 23 by Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang during a live presentation on the Oscars YouTube channel. Emilia Pérez received nominations in key categories such as Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Lead Actress, with Karla Sofía Gascón in the running for the latter.

Following closely behind, both Wicked and The Brutalist secured 10 nominations each, while Conclave and A Complete Unknown each earned eight nominations.
