HBO executive Francesca Orsi hints that the critically acclaimed The Last of Us series will span four seasons. While emphasizing that no formal plan is finalized, Orsi stated to Deadline that a four-season run is the current expectation – encompassing the current season and two more beyond.
Regarding the anticipated Season 2, premiering in April 2025, Orsi teased intriguing new factions vying for survival, characterized by unique visual presentations in wardrobe and makeup.

For those who missed Season 1, Episode 1 of Season 2 premieres in April. Unlike the first season, which adapted the entirety of the first game, Season 2 will expand upon The Last of Us Part II, utilizing a natural breakpoint after seven episodes.
Season 2 welcomes several new cast members: Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Danny Ramirez as Manny, and Tati Gabrielle as Mel. Catherine O'Hara's role remains undisclosed.
