As a prequel series to the prequel movie Rogue One, Andor pleasantly surprised many fans with its high quality. The Disney+ series delves into the life of Cassian Andor (played by Diego Luna), tracing his journey from a petty thief to the revolutionary hero we see in Rogue One. Even though we know where Cassian's story ultimately leads, the captivating plot and deeply human narratives in Andor make it, in our opinion, the best live-action Star Wars show to date.
After a two-and-a-half-year hiatus, Andor is set to return for its second and final season, and the anticipation seems justified. In his 9/10 review, Clint Gage praises Andor Season 2 for "building on nearly everything that worked so well about Season 1, and continues fleshing out the prequel era of Star Wars. Ultimately the tale of the unsung heroes of the rebellion, Andor creates very personal stories at the heart of a much larger struggle."
