Android Opens Pre-Registration for Metal Slug: Awakening

Get ready for a blast from the past! HaoPlay Limited is bringing back the arcade frenzy with Metal Slug: Awakening, launching globally on July 18th, 2024. Pre-registration is now open!

The Lowdown:

Metal Slug: Awakening delivers a modern twist on the beloved 90s classic. Initially revealed in 2020 by TiMi Studios as Metal Slug Code: J, the game has seen some delays and name changes before its Southeast Asia launch in late 2023. Now, it’s finally ready for worldwide release.

For the uninitiated, Metal Slug is a celebrated Japanese run-and-gun series, debuting in 1996 and created by Nazca Corporation. It's since grown into a substantial multimedia franchise.

This isn't the series' first mobile venture—we've seen Metal Slug Defense (2014), Metal Slug Attack (2016), and Metal Slug Commander (2020). However, Awakening promises a significant upgrade with enhanced features.

The game retains its core shooter gameplay, but boasts updated visuals and new mechanics. Rejoin your favorite Metal Slug characters for fresh missions. Game modes include World Adventure, 3-player cooperative Team-up action, and challenging Roguelike elements.
