Ubisoft Mainz has unveiled a new trailer showcasing exciting details about Anno 1800: Pax Romana. While previously announced as featuring Lazio and Albion, the trailer reveals Lazio serves as a prologue before the main game unfolds in Albion.
Creative Director Manuel Rainer explains that Lazio starts peacefully, but a catastrophic event forces players to explore the challenging lands of Britain (Albion). Albion presents a stark contrast to Lazio, characterized by a harsh climate, rebellious tribes, and its geographical distance from Rome, creating significant governance challenges.
Players take on the role of a governor, tasked with overcoming these obstacles through diplomacy and strategic planning, rather than solely through military force. Respecting local customs is key to establishing harmony. A unique feature is the customizable ship design, allowing players to choose between prioritizing speed with oarsmen or firepower with onboard archery turrets.
Anno 1800: Pax Romana is scheduled for release in 2025 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X.
