Two exciting Pokémon from the Galar region are making their grand entrance into Pokémon Go this month, offering both sweetness and strength to trainers. Applin and its evolutions will make their debut during the Sweet Discoveries event, while the powerful Dynamax Entei will heat things up during the Max Battle Weekend.
Sweet Discoveries runs from April 24th to 29th, showcasing the adorable Dragon/Grass-type Applin. To evolve Applin, you'll need 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples. Use Tart Apples to evolve it into Flapple, or Sweet Apples for Appletun. These apples can be found in the wild, particularly around areas with Mossy Lures, and might even trigger Applin encounters.
During the event, you'll encounter wild spawns like Bounsweet, Skwovet, and Delibird. Field Research and Eggs will provide additional opportunities to catch themed Pokémon such as Munchlax and Cherubi. Sweet and Tart Apples are available through Timed Research, with both free and paid options. The paid version offers extra Mossy Lure Modules and more chances to encounter Applin.
Don't miss out on the Applin Headband and Apron available in the shop, and keep an eye on PokéStop Showcases featuring themed Pokémon. If you're more drawn to raw power, mark your calendar for the Max Battle Weekend on April 26th-27th, where Dynamax Entei makes its fiery debut. Keep an eye out for a Shiny Entei if luck is on your side.
Prepare for these events by redeeming Pokémon Go codes to enhance your gameplay experience.
Event bonuses include an increased Max Particle cap, a reduced distance required to collect them, and faster Power Spot refresh rates. You'll earn eight times more Max Particles from each Power Spot visited. Leading up to the Max Battle Weekend, free Timed Research begins on April 21st, rewarding you with a Dynamax Sobble to counter Entei's fiery attacks.
Stock up for both events by visiting the Pokémon Go Web Store.
