Unlike previous titles, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will not offer early access for a fee, ensuring a simultaneous global launch. However, PC gamers should note different release times depending on whether they're using Steam or Ubisoft's Ubi Connect platform.

Pre-loading is currently available across all platforms, including Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC, allowing eager players to get ready ahead of the launch.

The release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows comes under intense scrutiny for Ubisoft, following a series of delays and the underwhelming sales of last year's Star Wars Outlaws. The company has faced numerous challenges, including high-profile flops, layoffs, studio closures, and game cancellations, putting significant pressure on this new installment to succeed.

IGN's review of Assassin’s Creed Shadows awarded it an 8/10, praising the game for refining its established systems and delivering one of the finest open-world experiences in the series to date.
