The Battle of Polytopia Brings a New Game Mode Called Weekly Challenges

The Battle of Polytopia has just upped the ante with its exciting new Weekly Challenges! This fresh competitive mode adds a thrilling twist to the already engaging 4X strategy gameplay.

From Randomness to Rigorous Competition

Polytopia’s charm lies in its unpredictable nature—the ever-changing maps, diverse enemies, and fluctuating resources. But the free update introduces a structured competitive element. Each week, every player faces the same map, tribe, and identical in-game conditions. The goal? Achieve the highest score within 20 turns. You get one attempt per day, limiting you to a maximum of seven tries per week.

This new feature offers a unique opportunity to experience tribes you may not own. The game boasts 16 tribes—four included in the base game, and twelve more available for purchase. However, in Weekly Challenges, everyone plays as the same tribe, regardless of ownership.

Will Weekly Challenges Elevate Polytopia’s Excitement?

Absolutely! This new mode also introduces a compelling League system. Starting in the Entry League, players ascend (or descend) based on their weekly performance. The top third moves up, the bottom third down, while the middle remains unchanged. The difficulty scales with league progression, starting at Easy in Entry League and escalating to Crazy difficulty AI in the Gold League. Missing a week won’t result in demotion, but your ranking will adjust based on other players’ progress.

Download the game from the Google Play Store to experience this exciting new feature! In the meantime, check out our news piece on hololive’s first-ever global mobile game, Dreams.
