To unlock the farm expansion, head to the **Carpenter’s Shop** located in the Eastern Road area of the game. You can purchase the expansion as early as your first year, but you need to meet specific progress requirements first.

The first step is to help the town reach **Rank 55** by accumulating enough Renown points. Additionally, you'll need to complete the Stone Refinery repair quest, which also requires reaching Town Rank 55. These steps are interconnected and essential for unlocking the expansion.

You'll need **40,000 Tesserae** to cover the cost of the upgrade. This amount requires diligent efforts in gathering, farming, and completing quests. Regularly explore the Mines, engage in fishing, and contribute new items to the Museum to accumulate Tesserae.

Next, gather **50 x Refined Stone**. This involves repairing the **Stone Refinery**, which you can only do after reaching Town Rank 55 and repairing the Inn beforehand.

Finally, collect **50 x Hard Wood**, the easiest material to acquire. With a **Copper Axe**, you can chop the large tree stumps found on your farm and elsewhere, each yielding 2 x Hard Wood.
