Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing exciting quests that encourage competition for the fastest clear times. In preparation for this, Capcom has issued a clear and firm warning to players about the consequences of engaging in any form of cheating or fraudulent activity.
In a recent post on the Monster Hunter X/Twitter account, Capcom stated, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts found in violation may face suspension or restrictions, including the inability to receive rewards from these quests." This underscores Capcom's commitment to maintaining a level playing field for all.
Moreover, Capcom highlighted that players who join multiplayer hunts with cheaters risk having their quest completion times invalidated, and the "right to rewards" revoked for the entire party. The company advised, "Please take caution to avoid playing multiplayer with those who are engaging in prohibited activity, or those you suspect of such." Players are encouraged to report any observed cheating to help maintain the integrity of the game.
These competitive quests will offer appealing rewards in the form of cosmetic pendants. Some rewards will be available to all participants, while others will be awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This incentive structure explains Capcom's heightened vigilance against cheating, as it directly impacts the rewards and completion times for players.
The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission. Be sure to head to the Grand Hub immediately after Title Update 1 goes live tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more details, you can review the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 patch notes.
