Castle Doombad Unleashes Android Defenders

Castle Doombad is back! The popular tower defense strategy game, originally released in 2014, returns as Castle Doombad: Free To Slay on Android, courtesy of Grumpyface Studios and Yodo1.

Grumpyface, known for hits like Steven Universe: Attack the Light and Teeny Titans, initially planned a single Castle Doombad remake. However, they cleverly divided the project into two: Free To Slay for mobile, and Castle Doombad Classic, a remastered version with updated content, launching on Nintendo Switch and Steam later this year. A sequel, Castle Doombad 2: Muahaha!, is also in development.

Unleash Your Inner Evil!

In Castle Doombad: Free To Slay, you'll revel in villainy, building a fiendish lair and repelling heroic do-gooders. Your arsenal? Ingenious traps and mischievous minions!

Check out the game trailer below:

The free-to-play game (with ads and optional in-app purchases) features 70 stages, daily challenges, endless modes, over 30 traps to unlock and upgrade, and more than 100 collectible items. A cosmetic system, "spoils," lets you customize your Dark Lord and his lair with evil artifacts. These can be combined with "Baddie Bonus" perks for strategic advantages.

A new roguelite mode, "Dr. Lord Evilstein's Roguevenge," adds replayability with randomly generated castle layouts and collectible Nightmares, granting unique villainous powers. Download it now from the Google Play Store!
