Clash of Clans is set to ditch Troop Training times in major overhaul

Clash of Clans, an iconic slice of mobile gaming history, is about to undergo a significant transformation that many fans have eagerly anticipated. Supercell has been progressively modernizing the game, and the latest major update is set to eliminate troop, spell, and siege unit training times entirely. This change promises to revolutionize gameplay by allowing players to deploy their armies almost instantly, enabling quicker battles and a more dynamic gaming experience.

This follows Supercell's decision to remove training costs back in 2022, marking another step in streamlining the game's mechanics. As of today, Training Potions and Training Treats will no longer be available through in-app purchases or chest rewards. You can still find them in the Trader and Gold Pass, but it's crucial to use them before the end of the month, as they will be converted to Gems.

To help players adapt to this new change, Supercell is introducing a feature called "Match Anytime." This mechanic allows you to attack a snapshot of another player's base when no real-time opponents are available. You'll earn rewards for these matches, while the players whose bases are used won't lose anything if their base is defeated. This feature, already used in Clan Wars and Legend League attacks, will now become a standard option, enhancing the flexibility and convenience of gameplay.

Keep an eye out for additional changes, such as Army Donations now requiring Elixirs or Dark Elixirs. For a comprehensive overview of all the updates and more, be sure to check out the Supercell blog.
