Exciting news for fans of the Devil May Cry series: Netflix has officially confirmed that the Devil May Cry anime is set to return for a second season. The announcement was made via X/Twitter, accompanied by an evocative image and the rallying cry, "Let's dance. Devil May Cry is officially coming back for Season 2." While details about the upcoming season remain under wraps, fans can dive back into the action as the entire first season is now available for streaming on Netflix.

In our review of Devil May Cry Season 1, we highlighted both its strengths and weaknesses. "Devil May Cry is not without flaws, including horrendous use of CG, bad jokes, and predictable characters," we noted. However, we also praised the series for its bold approach, stating, "Adi Shankar and Studio Mir craft a fun video-game adaptation that doubles as a deranged, bonkers, and bold homage to and indictment of '00s Americana. If nothing else, it contains some of the best animation you’re likely to see this year, and its epic finale makes for a very effective tease for an even wilder second season."
