If you're a fan of narrative-driven RPGs, then Disco Elysium likely holds a special place in your gaming library. Now, ZA/UM is bringing the critically acclaimed title to mobile devices—exclusively on Android—with an innovative twist designed for modern mobile gameplay habits.
The mobile version of Disco Elysium aims to introduce the game to new players while offering existing fans a convenient, on-the-go alternative. To help players decide if the full experience is right for them, the first two chapters will be available completely free of charge. From there, a one-time purchase unlocks the entire game—no ads, no interruptions, just pure immersive storytelling.
“We want players to make an informed decision about their potential purchase,” ZA/UM stated in its official announcement. The studio, now acting as both creators and stewards of the Disco Elysium IP, emphasized its commitment to quality and authenticity. “We take both of those roles very seriously, and we believe that is evident in the Disco Elysium mobile experience we are creating.”

ZA/UM Studio Head Denis Havel expanded on the vision behind the mobile release, stating that the goal is to engage the TikTok generation with short, impactful bursts of story, art, and audio. “We intend to captivate the TikTok user with quick hits of compelling story, art, and audio, ultimately creating an all-new, deeply engaging form of entertainment,” he explained.
This launch was accompanied by a debut trailer and exclusive screenshots showcasing the reimagined visuals tailored for mobile play. Among the enhancements are brand-new 360-degree scenes that immerse players directly into the world of Revachol. Additionally, the mobile edition features newly recorded full voiceover audio, enriching the already deep character interactions and narrative depth.
Here’s the official description:This is a total reimagination of the award-winning, gripping psychological RPG Disco Elysium, crafted specifically to cater to the habits of today’s mobile users. This story-rich adventure has been optimized for short play sessions, allowing players to dive in anytime, anywhere on their mobile devices.
Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as “what audiobooks wish they were.” Designed for bite-sized sessions, it allows players to enjoy the rich world of Disco Elysium without needing long stretches of uninterrupted time.
The Android-exclusive release is scheduled for summer 2025.
It's important to note that while the studio name remains familiar, many of the original developers behind Disco Elysium have since departed from ZA/UM. Several former team members are currently working on spiritual successors, which may influence player perception of this new iteration of the game.
