In Ubisoft's *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, players will encounter a variety of wildlife, including charming cats. If you're eager to discover the cat island in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, let's guide you through the process.
To reach the cat island, you'll need to head to the Omi region, which you'll access around the midpoint of the story. Ensure your characters are well-prepared for the journey, and then set off towards the northeast to reach Omi.
Your destination is Lake Biwa, a vast body of water in the center of the region. It's advisable to find a boat, which you can acquire from the settlements of Azuchi or Omizo. Alternatively, you can swim across the lake if you prefer.

Your target is the larger island in the middle of Lake Biwa, just northwest of Azuchi. Once you reach this island, known as Okishima, you'll find a Kakurega where you can rest. You'll also notice plenty of dried fish near the docks, a clear sign of a cat-friendly environment.
To immerse yourself in the feline population on Okishima, head north towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll encounter more and more cats. Don't forget to pet them to add them to your collection for use in the Hideout, especially the rare kittens, which are unique to this location.

While the Leap of Faith typically reveals new map locations, the true treasure on Okishima is the cats. After exploring and landing in the haystack, there's little else to do but enjoy the company of your new feline friends. You'll also revisit Okishima later in Yasuke's storyline, adding another layer of excitement to your journey.
