The Epic Games Store for mobile has just unveiled its free release of the week, and it's none other than developer Amanita Design's Happy Game. Don't let the title fool you—far from a joyful experience, this game plunges you into a surreal and unsettling journey. It's a treat for those who download and keep it for free, though!

Happy Game thrusts you into the role of a young boy who drifts off to sleep only to awaken in a nightmarish, gory world. Amanita Design, known for their quirky puzzlers like Chuchel, flips the script here, delivering a dose of pure nightmare fuel. Navigate through three distinct nightmares, tackling a variety of bizarre and unsettling puzzles. The seemingly sweet environments mask dark and disturbing elements, and the eerie soundtrack by the Czech band DVA will keep you on edge.

I was genuinely taken aback to discover that Amanita Design, whom I associated mainly with the more family-friendly Chuchel, had crafted Happy Game. The contrast is stark, to say the least.
