Niantic has just unveiled Season 4 of Monster Hunter Now, transforming the game into a winter wonderland for you to explore. Brace yourself for the tundra's icy challenges, where your hunts will be filled with excitement, even if your fingers feel virtually frostbitten.
Monster Hunter Now Season 4 introduces a thrilling new snowy tundra habitat. You'll navigate through icy winds and knee-deep snow, encountering a variety of monsters. Lagombi, Volvidon, Somnacanth, and the fierce Tigrex are making their debut this season. Additionally, Barioth and smaller monsters like Wulg and Cortos will also appear. Tigrex is set to challenge you in Hunt-a-thons and may even appear in the field if luck is on your side. To unlock these encounters, you'll need to complete urgent quests as you progress through Season 4's story chapters. Finish the prologue to gain access to the tundra.
A new weapon, the Switch Axe, is introduced in Monster Hunter Now Season 4. This versatile weapon offers two modes: Axe Mode for long-reaching strikes and Sword Mode for a more aggressive approach. To unlock the Switch Gauge, simply complete the pre-season story in Chapter 2.
Niantic is also introducing Palico companions to assist in gathering materials and scouting monsters. Customize their fur color, facial features, and give them a fun name. If you enjoy augmented reality, you can take your custom Palico into the real world and capture memorable photos together.
Season 4 also features Friend Cheering, adding a wholesome touch to your hunts. Send cheers to your friends to give them a temporary health boost for the day, though there's a limit to how much health can be gained from cheers.
