April is shaping up to be an exciting month for Marvel Contest of Champions (MCOC) players, with a lineup of thrilling additions and updates. One of the highlights is the introduction of the new champion, Spider-Woman. Born as Jessica Drew, her story begins with a childhood illness caused by uranium exposure. Her father, a brilliant geneticist, attempted to save her by injecting her with a concoction of spider DNA. After overcoming the initial adverse effects, Jessica emerged with extraordinary spider powers, ultimately becoming the formidable Spider-Woman. Fans can add her to their roster starting April 17th.
But before Spider-Woman makes her entrance, another new champion, Lumatrix, will join the fray on April 9th. Designed by the Founders as a deadly assassin, Lumatrix is equipped with dazzling light powers, making him a formidable force in infiltration and elimination missions.
On the narrative front, Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition," unfolds with dramatic twists. Carina suffers severe injuries after encountering Ouroborus forces, while Doctor Doom forms an unlikely alliance with the Fantastic Four to combat the spreading Chronoserpent corruption. A new villain, Lotan, also emerges, adding to the tension.
The month kicks off with the Spy Games Event Quest on April 9th, running through to May 7th. Black Widow leads the charge to unravel the mysteries surrounding the Eidols, enlisting Spider-Woman's help to crack the case.
Dark Phoenix returns in the Side Quest with Dark Bounties, challenging players to track down champions targeted by her bounty and claim their rewards. Additionally, the Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector makes a comeback, offering players the chance to battle with their strongest Saga champions for valuable rewards like Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
