Attention, Sim enthusiasts! The notorious Burglar is making a comeback in the latest update for The Sims 4, bringing a touch of nostalgia to both PC and console players. Meet Robin Banks, the cunning thief who will have you double-checking your virtual locks. She typically prowls under the cover of night, targeting homes when everyone's tucked in bed, but don't let your guard down—she's been known to attempt bold heists even when Sims are up and about. Stay vigilant!

To keep your virtual valuables safe, consider installing a burglar alarm. If Robin triggers it, the police will swiftly arrive to apprehend her and return your stolen goods. No alarm? No problem! You can still call the cops, but timing is everything. Alternatively, if you're feeling brave, take matters into your own hands with some vigilante justice.

While these burglary events are designed to be rare, thrill-seekers can ramp up the excitement by enabling the Lot Challenge Heist Havoc, increasing the likelihood of a visit from Robin Banks.

"We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe," The Sims team shared. "A big thank you to our entire team for making this a reality. Robin Banks isn’t just here to rob your Sims’ houses—she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims' 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."

Despite The Sims 4 being a decade old—and the franchise celebrating its 25th anniversary—it continues to attract new players. Last year alone, the game welcomed over 15 million new players. According to EA's Q2 earnings report from late last year, The Sims 4—which was initially a premium game—took four years to reach 20 million unique players. When it transitioned to free-to-play in 2022, it saw an incredible surge, gaining 31 million new players immediately and reaching a total of 85 million players by May 2024. And while fans eagerly await news, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5... Plum!
