Players have numerous options for customizing their loadout in Freedom Wars Remastered. While core components like weapons and Thrones are swapped less frequently, Combat Items are versatile consumables with finite uses.
You'll sometimes earn more Combat Items by finishing operations, though the quantities may not be sufficient to stock up for your next mission. Initially, you can only equip one Combat Item at a time. Here’s how to overcome both limitations.
To equip additional Combat Items, you first need the corresponding Entitlements. While in your cell, interact with the Window On Liberty and select "Claim Entitlements." Navigate to the Equipment section, then tab once to the right. You'll see the One-Item Permit at the top. Each subsequent permit below it increases your equipped Combat Item capacity, up to a maximum of four.
The story progression gates for these permits are brief. You can purchase all four permits by the time you reach CODE level 3. Note that later permits only become visible after you buy the preceding one. When you equip a Combat Item, you equip the entire stack, meaning selecting a Frag Grenade will bring all grenades from your inventory into the operation.
Your Accessory can also equip one Combat Item, but it will use it autonomously.
After advancing past the first few story missions, you'll gain access to The Warren hub area. On the upper level along the right side, you'll find a store called Zakka. While it sells weapons, select the "Buy Items" option to browse the Munitions and Medical Supplies catalogs.
Combat Items are sold individually. Stocking up on a particular item can require a significant amount of Entitlement Points, making resource donation a practical way to fund purchases if you need many Medkits. While operations occasionally reward Combat Items, this isn't a reliable farming method due to mission completion times and the potential net loss of items during combat.
