Netmarble's eagerly awaited game, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, inspired by George R.R. Martin's iconic book series and the HBO show, is gearing up for its first closed beta. Starting January 15th and running until January 22nd, this beta will be available for Android users in the US, Canada, and select regions of Europe. Sign-ups for this exciting opportunity are now open, so don't miss out!

Unlike previous mobile adaptations that focused on strategy, Kingsroad offers a unique third-person action and adventure experience set in the world of Westeros. Players will assume the role of an heir to the obscure House Tyre, thrust into the position through a series of strange events. As you journey across the land, you'll engage in combat, battle foes, and earn prestige, all while navigating the rich and treacherous world of Game of Thrones.

The game's trailer hints at a Witcher-like experience, showcasing third-person exploration and combat. Players can choose from three distinct classes: the Sellsword, the Knight, and the Assassin, each offering unique abilities and playstyles. While the visuals and concept look promising, the true test will come with the gameplay itself.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Closed Beta TrailerWinter is coming (well, it's already here, but you know what I mean). Registration for the closed beta is open until January 12th, so act quickly to secure your spot! While Game of Thrones may not dominate pop culture as it once did, its fanbase remains dedicated and eager for an immersive, on-the-ground experience like this.

However, with great anticipation comes scrutiny, particularly around monetization and long-term support. If Netmarble can successfully navigate these challenges, they have the potential to deliver the experience that Game of Thrones enthusiasts have been longing for.
