Get ready, tactical FPS fans! Delta Force is making its global debut thanks to Garena. The game, previously known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, is set to launch its PC Open Beta on December 5th, 2024. Mobile gamers, you'll have to wait a bit longer; your open beta is scheduled for next year.
For those unfamiliar, Delta Force was initially developed by NovaLogic. Later, Tencent's TiMi Studios, the creators of Call of Duty Mobile, took over the project. Now, Garena is partnering with them to roll out Delta Force in various global regions.
One of the standout features of Delta Force is its cross-progression between PC and mobile. In 2025, Garena and TiMi plan to launch the game on both platforms across Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Brazil, Central and South America, the Middle East, and North Africa.
If you're into epic battles, you'll love the Warfare mode. It's a colossal 32 versus 32 showdown that spans land, air, and sea. Teams are divided into squads of four operators, making for intense, coordinated combat.
For a different kind of challenge, there's the Operations mode. This extraction shooter mode features high-stakes missions with three-person teams. You'll be scavenging for loot, evading enemies, and racing against the clock to reach the extraction point. Any loot you collect can be used in future matches or traded for in-game currency. You can also take down opponents to steal their gear and supplies. The map is dotted with bosses, restricted areas, and special missions, adding layers of excitement and strategy.
Keep an eye out for a rare item called MandelBrick in Operations mode. Snag it, and you'll unlock exclusive skins. But there's a catch: your location will be broadcast to everyone else on the map, turning you into a prime target. Intrigued? The new Delta Force by Garena and TiMi promises sharp, realistic graphics and the tactical depth that the series is renowned for. If you played the original game released in 1998, you're in for a wave of nostalgia.
