Genshin Impact Update 5.5: New Volcano Area Added

As the UK briefly basks in warmth before dipping back to near-freezing temperatures, and with Spring seemingly hesitant to arrive in many places, Genshin Impact's upcoming 5.5 update, set to launch on March 26th, promises to bring the heat you need. Dubbed "Day of the Flame's Return," this update introduces an exciting new region to explore: the Great Volcano of Tollan in Natlan.

The highlight of this update is the unveiling of the Sacred City of Tollan, a Dragonborn-built marvel that has remained hidden until now. Players will delve into its depths to unravel the mysteries surrounding the Flamelord's Blessing. But the update isn't just about fiery landscapes; it also marks the debut of the final tribe of Natlan, the Tribe of Plenty, alongside a new Saurian, Tatankasaurus, powerful enough to shatter massive rocks with its sheer bulk.

Heating up The volcano area may be treacherous, but you won't have to brave it alone. The 5.5 update introduces two new characters to aid your journey. Varessa, a five-star Electro Catalyst user, unleashes devastating Electro damage, while Iansan, a four-star Electro Polearm wielder and one of Natlan's six heroes, enhances attack damage while providing healing support to her allies.
