This demo marks a significant shift from the original Gothic game, where players embodied the Nameless Hero, to the remake where you step into the shoes of a prisoner named Nyras. Despite the change in protagonist, the core objective remains the same—survival in a brutal world.

The demo, released during the Steam Next Fest event, has quickly become a standout, setting a new record for concurrent players among all entries in the Gothic series. This achievement is a testament to the community's anticipation and enthusiasm for the remake.
