In *Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii*, Goro Majima showcases his versatility with two unique fighting styles. Among these, his "Sea Dog" pirate fighting style boasts four distinct and potent finishers designed for managing large crowds. However, securing all the dark instruments in the game requires a significant journey.
The Dark God’s Violin marks your introduction to the Dark Instruments in *Pirate Yakuza* and is essential for progressing through the main storyline. You'll encounter this mission in Chapter 2, where Jason, a crew member, directs you to meet an old friend. This meeting leads Goro and his crew into a confrontation with the Devil Flag pirates, who have slain Jason's friend and stolen a valuable artifact, the Pharoh Stone.
After this encounter, you'll meet Misaki, the orphaned daughter of the slain friend, who joins the Goro Pirates in pursuit of vengeance. This sets off a side story that guides you to the islands east of Madlantis. Here, you'll face a formidable fleet of Devil Flag pirates, significantly stronger than those previously encountered. Concentrate your attacks on the boss ship to progress to the next phase of the battle onboard their vessel. Upon defeating the Devil Flags, you'll claim the Dark God’s Violin, which you can test in a 100-enemy brawl on the island.
A subsequent cutscene introduces the captains of the Devil Flag fleet—Yakuza, Ronin, Shinobi, and Zeus—who challenge you to a showdown. While defeating them isn't necessary for the main storyline, it's crucial for collecting all Dark Instruments in *Pirate Yakuza*.
Following the initial boss ship defeat and the 100-enemy brawl, you'll notice special Devil Flag markers across the seas. Each defeated Devil Flag ship grants you flags, and you'll need 70 to unlock Atali Island. Prepare a strong landing party, as you'll face multiple waves of attackers. The treasure chest on this island holds the Dark God’s Ocarina, but you must first defeat Devil Flag Captain Yakuza to claim it.

After defeating Captain Yakuza, new objectives lead you to an island where the Pharoh Stone supposedly resides. However, this turns out to be a trap, initiating another 100-enemy battle where you can utilize your newly acquired Dark God’s Ocarina. Following this, you'll learn that Zeus is en route to Flame Island.
To progress, you need a three-star ranking and 130 Devil Flags. Navigate to the Flame Entrance Lighthouse, triggering a cutscene and opening access to four treasure islands: Sunset, Heatwave, Welldone, and Scorching Heat. Remember, these islands don't allow the use of health items during battles, so ensure Goro and his landing crew are well-upgraded.
After conquering the treasure islands, engage in another fleet battle, focusing on the boss ship. Once aboard and after defeating the first mate, you can land on Flame Island with Jason, Masaru, Minami, and Saejima as your chosen crew. Overcome smaller battles before facing Captain Ronin, using either of your Dark Instruments. Defeating Ronin grants you access to the treasure chest containing the Dark God of the Earth’s Guitar.
The final Dark Instrument, the Dark God’s Saxophone, requires a Pirate Rank Four, achievable through main story missions, recruiting new crew members, and engaging in mini-games and side quests. You'll also need 220 Devil Flags.
Sail to the Frost Entrance Lighthouse to initiate a cutscene, leading to a confrontation with the Devil Flag Fleet blocking Frost Island. Four additional islands (Snowview, Coldwave, Icicle Island, and Glacial) are available for plundering more Devil Flags. Defeat Captain Shinobi’s First Fleet before landing to face the pirates on Frost Island.
Navigate through a series of battles into a cave, followed by a recovery area, before the final boss fight with Captain Shinobi. After defeating him, a cutscene with Zeus unfolds, culminating in Goro obtaining the Dark God’s Saxophone as the level ends.
The final confrontation involves defeating Zeus and rescuing Misaki, marking the toughest battle in the game. While this last fight isn't required to collect all four Dark Instruments, it's a fitting end to the journey in *Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii*.
And that's how you obtain all the Dark Instruments in *Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii*.
