In the cooperative horror game *R.E.P.O.*, your main objective is to retrieve valuable items and survive the ordeal, all while evading an array of randomly spawning monsters. Successfully extracting these items not only rewards you with cash but also gives you a chance to restock on essential survival gear, courtesy of the menacing AI Taxman. The key to your success lies in reaching the Extraction Point where your haul of treasures is evaluated, and if you've done well, you'll head to the Service Station with enough cash to bolster your inventory.
As you delve deeper into *R.E.P.O.*, mastering the extraction process becomes crucial. What might initially seem like a daunting challenge will soon become a familiar routine as you overcome more levels and confront increasingly formidable monsters.
During your initial foray into *R.E.P.O.*, you'll encounter just one Extraction Point. However, as you progress to new locations, the number of Extraction Points can increase, reaching a maximum of four. Keep an eye on the red number in the right-hand corner of your screen to monitor how many drop-offs you need to complete and how many you've already accomplished.
At the start of each level, the first Extraction Point is conveniently located near your R.E.P.O. truck—a constant you can rely on for your initial haul. Subsequent extractions, however, require more strategy.
After depositing your first C.A.R.T.-load of valuables, you'll need to navigate the rest of the level without knowing the Taxman's demands or the locations of additional Extraction Points. This is where your in-game map becomes indispensable. By pressing "Tab" on your keyboard, you gain a view of unexplored areas, aiding in route planning and, if playing with others, allowing your team to spread out and cover more ground efficiently.
You'll only discover the next Extraction Point once you reach its vicinity, either by sight or sound. Upon locating it, press the prominent red button to reveal whether you've collected enough valuables. If you meet the requirement, position your C.A.R.T. within the grey area to ensure no items are destroyed.
After completing an extraction, you'll either proceed to find the next point by repeating the process or make your way back to the truck intact. Remember, after the final Extraction Point, you don't need to bring the C.A.R.T. back to the truck; a new one will spawn in the next level.
With these insights on extracting items in *R.E.P.O.*, you're well-equipped to face the challenges ahead. Be sure to explore our other *R.E.P.O.* guides for more tips and strategies.
