Anthony Ramos, known for his role in Hamilton, has responded to the early online criticism surrounding Marvel's new Disney+ series Ironheart, which emerged even before its premiere.

Originally introduced as a secondary character in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ironheart centers on Riri Williams. The first three episodes debuted last week, with the final trio set to release on July 1.

Negative reviews surfaced prematurely, many targeting the show's decision to feature a Black female lead. Ramos recently shared his thoughts on the polarized reception.

"Criticism is inevitable, no matter what," Ramos told Buzzfeed, drawing parallels to his experience in 2023's Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

"Transformers faced backlash too—people will always voice opinions. What matters is our pride in the final product."

"While not groundbreaking, our approach stands out," Ramos added. "Innovation invites scrutiny—that comes with pushing boundaries."

"Everyone's entitled to their view. Engagement, even negative, beats indifference. Silence would concern me more."

The Chicago-set series follows Williams crafting a mystical armor suit inspired by Iron Man, aided by Ramos' character The Hood, a local crime figure.

Robert Downey Jr. recently voiced support, sharing an enthusiastic endorsement of lead actress Dominique Thorne: "Iron Man fully embraces Ironheart."

Critical reception remains divided, while Marvel hints at a significant comics antagonist appearing in the finale, urging viewers not to miss this week's conclusion.
