Jack Quaid, known for his role in "The Boys," has expressed his enthusiasm for potentially starring in a BioShock movie, citing the game as one of his all-time favorites. During a Reddit AMA to promote his new film, Novocaine, Quaid highlighted the rich lore of BioShock, suggesting it could be effectively adapted into a TV series or movie. "I would actually love to be in a live-action adaptation of BioShock - one of my favorite games of all time," he shared. "I think there's such a rich lore to that game that could be explored in a TV or movie adaptation."

The possibility of a BioShock film becoming a reality remains uncertain. Last July, producer Roy Lee mentioned that the project had undergone a "reconfiguration" due to changes in leadership, aiming for a more "personal" film. These adjustments were partly due to budget cuts from Netflix. While details about the plot remain under wraps, Francis Lawrence, known for directing The Hunger Games, is still set to helm the project. Lee explained, "The new regime has lowered the budgets. So we’re doing a much smaller version. It’s going to be a more personal point of view, as opposed to a grander, big project."

Quaid's interest in video games extends beyond BioShock. He acknowledged the frequent comparisons to Max Payne, whose likeness is inspired by Remedy writer Sam Lake. Quaid humorously noted the resemblance, saying, "I've seen people say that I look like Max Payne, and when I've looked at the box art, even I did a double-take. I love Rockstar's games, but unfortunately I've never played that one - it's next on the list, for sure." The actor's new movie, Novocaine, has sparked discussions among fans due to its visual similarities to Max Payne, leading to speculation about a hidden connection.

In addition to his love for BioShock, Quaid is a self-proclaimed "huge video game nerd" with a particular fondness for FromSoftware's challenging games. He shared his journey through their titles, saying, "And lately I've been diving headfirst into the FromSoftware library. I beat Bloodborne, then I beat Sekiro, and now I'm going full boar into Elden Ring. Actually, the thing I use Reddit the most for is tips and tricks on beating Fromsoft's bosses. I love how challenging the games are - it took me a while to get into them, but now I'm obsessed."
