Official synopsis reveals:
Five years post-Jurassic World Dominion, Earth's ecosystems have largely rejected dinosaur survival. Remaining specimens cling to existence in isolated equatorial zones mimicking their prehistoric habitats. Within this tropical biosphere, three apex predators—ruling land, sea, and air—possess DNA holding humanity's next medical breakthrough.
Johansson stars as elite operative Zora Bennett, leading a classified mission to retrieve this genetic goldmine. When her team crosses paths with shipwrecked civilians and aquatic predators, all find themselves marooned on a forbidden island housing Jurassic Park's most clandestine research facility. There, amidst diverse prehistoric species, they uncover a decades-old secret that could change everything.
Trailer highlights include breathtaking callbacks to Jurassic Park lore. Screenwriter Koepp recently revealed adapting an unused river sequence from Michael Crichton's original novel, stating: "We finally get to include that iconic scene we couldn't fit in the 1993 classic."
The preview also introduces terrifying hybrids including the Distortus Rex (D-Rex), described by Edwards as a nightmarish fusion of "T-Rex redesigned by H.R. Giger and a Star Wars Rancor's vicious offspring."
New aerial threats emerge with winged Mutadons—genetic crosses between pterosaurs and Velociraptors—promising fresh terror in this dinosaur-filled adventure.
