Warhorse Studios has released a major free update, version 1.2, for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, boasting two significant additions: native Steam Workshop mod integration and a brand-new barber shop system.

Steam Workshop integration streamlines mod installation, eliminating the need for third-party sites. However, availability depends on mod creators uploading their content. Currently, a few mods are available, including "Free Saving" (unlimited saves via replenishing "Saviour Schnapps"), "Helmet of Henry VIII" (a historically-inspired horned helmet), "Tourist" (disables NPC trespassing reactions), and "Pebbles the Zebra" (transforms your horse into a zebra). While the initial selection is small, the large existing Nexus Mods community (over a thousand mods) is expected to quickly populate the Steam Workshop, bringing many popular mods to the platform.

Complementing the mod support, players can now customize their appearance at barber shops in Rattay and Kuttenberg, altering hairstyles and beards. Each visit provides a temporary Charisma boost.

Update 1.2 encompasses far more than these features. The extensive changelog on the official website details over a thousand bug fixes and improvements across the game. These include balance adjustments, refined animations, improved NPC behavior (especially within the crime system), revised and more realistic NPC daily schedules, enhanced horse riding and trading mechanics, and improved character visuals and overall performance, particularly noticeable in Kuttenberg and during large battles. A developer livestream next Thursday will delve deeper into these changes.

Warhorse Studios' commitment to Kingdom Come: Deliverance II continues with three paid DLC expansions planned for Spring, Summer, and Winter. With Steam Workshop integration, new cosmetic options, and numerous gameplay refinements, the game offers an even richer medieval experience.
