MapleStory Worlds, the latest addition to the popular Nexon franchise, is now available in the Americas and Europe! This new release allows players to build their own experiences using a range of tools and MapleStory assets.
For MapleStory fans, this is exciting news – a simultaneous release in North America and Europe! Following a soft launch in late 2024, MapleStory Worlds is officially launching on mobile and PC.
Essentially, think of MapleStory Worlds as MapleStory's version of Roblox. Players can use both simple and advanced tools to create side-scrolling adventures, ranging from classic RPGs to shooters, or simply social hubs.
Cross-platform play between mobile and PC is a key feature. While Nexon highlights monetization opportunities, the main draw for many will likely be recreating beloved MapleStory experiences with enhanced tools.

A World of Your Own Making
While intrigued, I also harbor some reservations about MapleStory Worlds. The game's charming pixel art is undeniably appealing, but even among dedicated fans, enthusiasm for Worlds hasn't been universally high.
However, the game offers a diverse range of experiences – mini-games, if you will – encompassing platformers, zombie survival, and more. Perhaps viewed as an independent platform, it's more appealing. Its success will depend on player reception now that it's fully launched.
