Marvel Rivals players will start getting banned on consoles for using the keyboard and mouse

According to a recent official statement from NetEase Games, players who utilize keyboard and mouse adapters on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles while engaging in Marvel Rivals will face account suspension. The company has classified this practice as a breach of their rules, citing the unfair advantage these devices provide due to enhanced control sensitivity and the continued use of aiming assistance.

Adapters such as the XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, KeyMander, and Brook Sniper enable players to simulate gamepad inputs with a keyboard and mouse, granting them a significant edge in competitive gameplay, particularly when auto-targeting features are enabled.

NetEase elaborated on their stance, stating, "We categorize adapters as tools or software that mimic gamepad functionality through keyboard and mouse inputs. This results in a competitive imbalance, especially noticeable in our game's competitive modes."

To enforce this policy, NetEase has introduced advanced detection mechanisms capable of accurately identifying adapter usage. Upon detection of such violations, the implicated accounts are promptly blocked.

In related news, it has been observed that in Marvel Rivals, higher frame rates (FPS) can lead to increased ping. While this might not be as disruptive with lower pings, a spike from a typical 90 ms to 150 ms can severely impact gameplay. This issue appears to be connected to frame rate settings. As a temporary solution, players are advised to await an official patch and experiment to find the optimal FPS to ping ratio. Some community members suggest capping FPS at around 90 to mitigate these issues, a suggestion that might seem unusual to fans of games like Counter-Strike 2 but is currently recommended for Marvel Rivals.
