Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Deep Dive into the New Maps
Marvel Rivals' first season continues to expand its offerings with a wealth of new content. Beyond the addition of Fantastic Four heroes and cosmetic items, the game introduces several new maps themed around Marvel's New York City. This guide details each new map in Season 1.

Launching alongside Season 1, Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown is a Convoy map, specifically designed for Marvel Rivals' payload-style game mode. Players either escort or defend a moving vehicle across the map. This is the third Convoy map in Rivals, joining Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path and Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands.
Midtown depicts a New York City shrouded in the darkness of Dracula's Blood Moon. Key Points of Interest include iconic Marvel locations and real-world Midtown Manhattan landmarks:

Doctor Strange's Sanctum Santorum, in its Empire of Eternal Night variant, is another Season 1 addition. Uniquely, this map hosts the Doom Match mode – a free-for-all deathmatch where players compete for survival and leaderboard dominance. Top-ranking players earn wins, with the highest-scoring player receiving MVP.
The Sanctum Santorum is a meticulously crafted representation of Doctor Strange's mystical home and headquarters, first introduced in a 1963 comic and famously featured in the MCU. In Rivals, it serves as Earth's supernatural defense, brimming with secrets, easter eggs, and intriguing features like impossible ceilings, portals, and an infinite staircase. Players can even interact with Bats the Ghost Dog.

Expected to launch later in Season 1, Central Park is currently shrouded in some mystery. Based on its real-world counterpart in Manhattan, this map is anticipated to feature a stylized Belvedere Castle, situated at one of the park's highest points. Its Gothic architecture makes it an ideal setting for the Empire of Eternal Night theme, potentially serving as Dracula's New York City hideout.
These are all the confirmed new maps for Marvel Rivals Season 1.
