Microsoft has announced an exciting array of Xbox Game Pass titles slated to join the service in the first half of April 2025, featuring a robust selection of first- and third-party games. The lineup includes highly anticipated releases like South of Midnight, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition, and many more. This announcement was detailed in a recent Xbox Wire post, setting the stage for an action-packed month starting tomorrow, April 3.
The month kicks off with Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, available across Cloud, Console, and PC platforms for all Game Pass tiers. Joining the fray on the same day are All You Need Is Help (Console), Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X | S), and Wargroove 2 (Console), all accessible through Game Pass Standard. This initial wave offers a diverse range of gaming experiences to keep Xbox enthusiasts engaged throughout the month. However, the excitement doesn't stop there; just five days later, on April 8, South of Midnight (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (Console and PC) will become available to all Game Pass subscribers.
South of Midnight, developed by Compulsion Games, is set in the Deep South and promises to be one of Xbox's major releases this year. Microsoft describes it as a modern folktale where players explore the mythos and confront mysterious creatures, learning to harness an ancient power to overcome obstacles and heal their hometown. This addition to Game Pass is expected to draw a significant number of players eager to delve into its rich narrative and unique gameplay.
Following closely, April 9 brings Commandos: Origins (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, while Blue Prince (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) joins the service on April 10 for the same tiers. Rounding out the first wave of releases, Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PC) will be added for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers on April 15.
In addition to new games, Xbox Game Pass perks are also being updated for the first half of April 2025. Notable additions include the Beyond the Void Bundle for The First Descendant, the Sweet Starter Pack for Candy Crush Solitaire on mobile devices, and an anniversary Seventh Serving Emote for Sea of Thieves enthusiasts.
