With a confirmed release date and detailed content roadmap, the anticipation for Title Update 1 is palpable. What aspect of this update excites you the most? Share your thoughts below!
The showcase kicked off with an introduction to the new endgame hub, the Grand Hub, designed to enhance the social aspect of the game. Here, hunters can enjoy a range of activities from communal feasting and arm wrestling to listening to the Diva's nightly performances. Additionally, a fun Barrel Bowling mini-game awaits, offering vouchers and other rewards. To unlock the Grand Hub, players need to reach Hunter Rank 16 and speak with Tetsuzan in Suja, the Peaks of Accord.
A highlight of Title Update 1 is the introduction of Mizutsune, the captivating monster known for its swift tail strikes and powerful water jets. Hunters at HR 21 or above can encounter Mizutsune in the Scarlet Forest by talking to Kanya, who will provide the quest. Successful hunts will reward players with new gear to craft, adding to the excitement of this update.
The update also brings an Event Quest featuring the formidable Arch-tempered Rey Dau, a challenge suited for hunters at HR 50 and above. Conquering this beast unlocks new armor sets. Furthermore, the fan-favorite Zoh Shia will be available for repeated battles through new quests, also accessible at HR 50, with unique armor crafting opportunities.
For those who thrive on competition, Arena Quests are set to provide a thrilling platform for speedrunners. Both Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests will be on offer, with pendants awarded for participation and top performances. These quests can be accessed via a counter in the new Grand Hub.
Fans of the hardworking handler Alma will be delighted to know that she's getting a wardrobe update. Players can now customize Alma's appearance through a new menu in camp, with one free outfit available upon completing a designated side mission. Additionally, Alma's glasses can be swapped out for a fresh look.
Alongside Title Update 1, a mix of free and paid DLC will be released. Classic gestures from previous Monster Hunter games will be freely available in the store, while the Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 and other items can be obtained through the store, the Cosmetic DLC Pass, or the Premium Deluxe Edition. Look forward to new stickers, outfits for Alma, and more.
The game will see the addition of more Event Quests and the introduction of Seasonal Events, which will transform the Grand Hub's appearance and offer special meals. During these events, players can access limited-time equipment, gestures, and decorations. The first Seasonal Event, the Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, starts on April 23, featuring pink cherry blossoms and new decor. Capcom has also assured the return of most past events and quests.
Here's a glimpse of the content rollout plan for Title Update 1 and beyond. U.S. players will see the update on April 3, followed by the Blossomdance event on April 22. The Arch-tempered Rey Dau challenge arrives on April 29, and by the end of May, additional features and a Capcom collaboration will debut.
The showcase concluded with a sneak peek at Title Update 2, expected this summer. Though no specific date was announced, a tantalizing image hinted at the return of the iconic Lagiacrus, the underwater leviathan, promising new challenges on the surface.
