Morikomori Life has officially launched on Android and iOS platforms, but exclusively in Japan, published by Realfun Studio. Interestingly, the game was initially released in China by Level Infinite under Tencent Games, but the Chinese version was removed approximately a year ago.
The standout feature of Morikomori Life is its stunning visuals, which bring a cozy atmosphere to life through anime-inspired artwork reminiscent of Studio Ghibli films. The 3D toon shading enhances the warmth of the Japanese landscapes, making them feel authentic and inviting.
In the game, you assume the role of Kaon, a young Japanese girl who receives a mysterious letter from her grandmother asking her to visit the village of Komori, where she spent her childhood. From there, you embark on a journey to rediscover the essence of a tranquil life.
Morikomori Life revolves around everyday activities such as farming, cooking, fishing, hunting, and even constructing your own home. Explore the world to gather resources like wood and ore, and discover rare materials. As you collect resources, you unlock new ways to enhance your house and enrich your lifestyle.
Customize Kaon's wardrobe to suit your preferences and engage with villagers by helping them with various tasks. Prepare meals using ingredients you've foraged and enjoy the freedom of an open-world environment filled with delightful surprises.
Currently available on Android in Japan, you can download it from the Google Play Store. No official word has been released regarding a global release.
