This article dives into the announcements made during the NieR 15th Anniversary Livestream and highlights the upcoming projects and the monthly developer blog for NieR Re[in]carnation.

During the NieR 15th Anniversary livestream on April 19, Square Enix unveiled a series of initiatives to mark the occasion, including the launch of an online special novel titled [U]ndecided Option. This novel will be updated in three parts, with the first installment already available and the subsequent updates scheduled for April 25 and May 2. The story teases a mysterious encounter between a servant and a boy with an enigmatic aura, promising an intriguing narrative.
To complement the novel's release, Square Enix introduced the NieR 15th Anniversary website, serving as the central hub for all related projects and events during the celebration.
Square Enix is set to host an exhibition at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, Japan, showcasing new artwork featuring protagonists from NieR: Replicant, NieR: Automata, and NieR Re[in]carnation. Details regarding tickets and other specifics will be announced soon.
Additionally, the NieR: Orchestra Concert 12024 will extend its performances to Osaka on July 25 and 26, and Tokyo on August 2 and 3. Tickets for these concerts are available through a lottery system, with more information accessible on the concert's official website.
The celebration also includes a range of new merchandise, such as a jazz album from the NieR: Dinner Show – Somethin’ or Other 12024, set for release in December 2024, the NieR Weapon Story book with over 650 weapon stories from across the series, and scale figures of the NieR protagonists.

Starting April 28, NieR Re[in]carnation, the franchise's first mobile title released in January 2021 and shut down in April 2024 due to monetization challenges, will launch a developer blog. This blog will provide monthly updates throughout the year, offering insights into the development process of Re[in]carnation. Despite the game's closure, the decision to start a developer blog has sparked speculation about potential future developments, such as a sequel or a remake, though no official statements have confirmed these theories.
The livestream concluded with a captivating 20+ minute live performance featuring soundtracks from the NieR series. Square Enix promises more exciting events and merchandise announcements for NieR fans in the near future.
