Path of Exile 2's trade chat buzzes constantly with players seeking White Stellar Amulets, often offering 10 or 15 Exalted Orbs each. This high demand might puzzle newcomers. Why are these amulets so valuable? The answer lies in their potential for transformation. Anyone paying this much either needs the amulet for a specific build or plans to convert it into something even more valuable. Let's break it down.

What Makes White Stellar Amulets Valuable in Path of Exile 2?

Plain white Stellar Amulets—those with only the implicit "+# to All Attributes"—are key ingredients in crafting the incredibly valuable Astramentis Stellar Amulet. This transformation is achieved using an Orb of Chance.

Astramentis is exceptionally powerful due to its massive attribute boost (+80-120 to All Attributes). This synergizes perfectly with the Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps, another top-tier unique item, significantly enhancing attack speed and lightning damage based on Intelligence and Dexterity.

Crucially, only white Stellar Amulets can create Astramentis. Blue (Magic) or Yellow (Rare) amulets won't work. This scarcity explains their high value compared to enhanced versions.

Should You Sell White Stellar Amulets or Use the Orb of Chance?

The odds of successfully crafting Astramentis with an Orb of Chance are incredibly low. Even using 100 amulets might not guarantee success. While luck can play a role, it's a risky gamble.

Selling your white Stellar Amulets offers a safer alternative. You can expect 10-30 Exalted Orbs depending on the market. The choice is yours: a guaranteed profit or a high-risk, high-reward gamble.

How to Use Orb of Chance To Get Astramentis in PoE 2

To try your luck, place the white Stellar Amulet in your inventory, right-click the Orb of Chance, and left-click the amulet. Possible outcomes include:

  • Amulet destruction.
  • Upgrade to a unique amulet:
    1. Astramentis (the desired outcome)
    2. Fixation of Yix (a less desirable, though still unique, amulet)

Remember, Fixation of Yix is more common than Astramentis, and failure results in the amulet's destruction.
