A recent leak suggests that Pokemon GO players can look forward to new Adventure Effects with the arrival of Black and White Kyurem. These powerful Legendary Pokemon are set to debut in the game during the GO Tour: Unova event on March 1 and 2, 2025.
In the lore of the Pokemon universe, Black and White Kyurem are the result of Kyurem fusing with either Zekrom or Reshiram, respectively. While Zekrom and Reshiram have already made their appearance in Pokemon GO, fans have eagerly anticipated the debut of their fused forms. Niantic, the game's developer, has confirmed that Black and White Kyurem will join the AR game during the upcoming event, and a leak from Pokeminers hints at exciting new Adventure Effects linked to these creatures.
The leak reveals two new Adventure Effects: "Ice Burn" and "Freeze Shock." Ice Burn, associated with White Kyurem, will reportedly slow down the target ring during Pokemon encounters, making it easier to achieve Great or Excellent throws. On the other hand, Freeze Shock, linked to Black Kyurem, will completely paralyze a Pokemon, preventing it from knocking back Pokeballs or moving around the screen during encounters. These effects could significantly enhance players' ability to catch elusive Pokemon.

In addition to the new Adventure Effects, the leak also mentioned a "Lucky Trinket" item. This item would allow players to become Lucky Friends instantly with another player who is already at least a Great Friend. However, the effect is temporary and lasts only a few hours. Achieving Lucky Friends status is rare, even for Best Friends, so this item could be a game-changer for those looking to secure Lucky trades.
While the GO Tour: Unova event is still a few months away, Pokemon GO enthusiasts have more immediate events to look forward to. The evolution line for Corviknight is set to debut on January 21 during the Steely Resolve event, and five-star Raids will feature Deoxys and Dialga. Additionally, from January 20 to February 3, players can participate in Max Raids to encounter Dynamax versions of the Legendary Bird Trio.
