Pokémon GO's New Year's Celebration: Get Ready for Festive Fun!

Pokémon GO is celebrating the New Year with its annual holiday event, running from December 30th to January 1st, 2025. This exciting event features themed bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and plenty of ways to ring in the new year in style. Following the Community Day event (December 21st-22nd), prepare for a week of New Year's festivities!

This year's event offers a fantastic bonus: catch Pokémon with an Excellent Throw to earn 2,025 XP! Enjoy festive fireworks and immersive New Year's decorations as you explore.

Expect to find themed Pokémon more often in the wild, including Jigglypuff with a ribbon, a New Year's outfit-clad Hoothoot, and a party-hat-wearing Wurmple. Shiny versions of these Pokémon may also appear!

Raids are also getting a festive makeover! One-star raids feature a snowflake-hat-wearing Pikachu, while three-star raids include party-hat-wearing Raticate and Wobbuffet. Shiny rates for all three are increased during the event.
