Rainbow Six Siege X: Atlanta Reveal Highlights

As Rainbow Six Siege celebrates its tenth anniversary, Ubisoft has unveiled an exciting new chapter for the game: Siege X. This major update is being compared to the leap from CS:GO to CS2, signaling a significant evolution for the tactical shooter. Set to launch on June 10, Siege X will transition the game to a free-to-play model, opening its doors to a broader audience of players eager to dive into its intense gameplay.

Key Changes in Siege X:

New Mode: Dual Front – This innovative 6v6 format blends the roles of attack and defense, challenging teams to capture enemy zones and plant sabotage devices. The gameplay unfolds across a map segmented into three areas per team and a central neutral zone. Players will have the opportunity to respawn just 30 seconds after being eliminated, keeping the action relentless and fast-paced.

Advanced Rappel System – Enhancing tactical movement, the new rappel system allows players to navigate both vertically and horizontally, adding a new layer of strategy and immersion to the game.

Increased Environmental Destruction – The environment in Siege X becomes even more interactive with the introduction of new destructible elements. Players can now trigger explosive reactions from fire extinguishers and gas pipes, turning the battlefield into a dynamic arena of chaos and opportunity.

Reworks for Five Popular Maps – Five beloved maps are set to receive major overhauls, ensuring that both new and veteran players will find fresh challenges and strategies to master.

Graphical & Audio Enhancements – Ubisoft is committed to elevating the Siege experience with a comprehensive upgrade to both visuals and audio, making every match more immersive and engaging.

Improved Anti-Cheat & Toxicity Measures – The developers are doubling down on their efforts to maintain a fair and enjoyable environment. Enhancements to the anti-cheat system and new measures to combat toxicity aim to foster a more positive community.

To give players a taste of what's coming, Ubisoft has announced a closed beta for Siege X, available over the next seven days to those who watch Siege streams. This is a perfect opportunity for fans to get an early look at the future of Rainbow Six Siege.
