The final day of the Six Invitational is always a highlight for Rainbow Six Siege fans, as Ubisoft traditionally unveils exciting new content for the game. This year, the spotlight was on Rauora, the latest attack operator hailing from New Zealand, introduced with much fanfare.
Rauora brings a unique gadget to the fray: the DOM launcher, a bulletproof shield deployable exclusively in doorways. While it can withstand regular gunfire, it's vulnerable to explosives. The shield features a trigger mechanism that can be activated by any player, but with a strategic twist: it opens in just one second for attackers, whereas defenders must wait a full three seconds. This timing difference could be a game-changer, especially in high-stakes scenarios where the defuser is in play.

Alongside her innovative gadget, Rauora introduces the Reaper MK2 to the Rainbow Six Siege arsenal. This fully automatic pistol comes equipped with a red dot sight and an enlarged magazine, promising to add a new dimension to close-quarters combat. For her primary weapons, Rauora can choose between the powerful M249 LMG or the precision-focused 417 marksman rifle.
Fans eager to try out Rauora can look forward to her availability on the test servers starting next week. However, those playing on the live version of the game will need to wait a bit longer to experience her full capabilities.
