Begin by speaking to Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov. After your conversation, head to the designated pasture to start the quest.

Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?

During the quest, you'll need to choose between supporting Prochek or Olbram. To side with Prochek, speak to him in Tachov and say, "Let’s get those Zhelejovites!" To side with Olbram, talk to him in Zhelejov and say, "Let’s go and see those Tachovites!"

Avoid trying to reconcile them during their initial meeting at the pasture, as it will only provoke an early fight. If you pass the dialogue check during negotiations, someone from the opposing side will retreat, making the subsequent battle easier. Winning the fight for either side grants you some groschen.

How to Stop the Feud

For a more peaceful resolution, talk to Prochek or Olbram before heading to the pasture and ask if they want to end the feud. Then, travel to Troskowitz and speak with Baliff Thrush, selecting the dialogue option, "You’d finally have some peace."

Successfully passing the dialogue check allows you to access the Troskowitz Chronicle in the scribe's room. If persuasion fails, you can sneak in to read it, but save your game beforehand for safety.

After speaking with the scribe, choose the dialogue option, "Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei."

Next, at the pasture, locate three oak trees lined up. Examine the middle tree to find a nail. Your choices with the nail are:

• Leaving it in the middle tree splits the pasture equally between Tachov and Zhelejov.
• Moving it to the west tree favors Tachov with more land.
• Moving it to the east tree favors Zhelejov with more land.

The choice of where to place the nail is flexible and depends on your preference or neutrality. Once decided, speak with Baliff Thrush again, who will agree to end the feud. Then, bring Prochek or Olbram to the pasture to finalize the resolution.
