"Rivals Update 9 Adds Gunblade, Bridge Map; Ranked Mode Coming Soon"

The first-person shooter PvP Roblox experience, Rivals, has just released Update 9, introducing the innovative Gunblade weapon and a new Bridge map to its ever-growing arsenal of content. Developer Nosniy Games provided detailed patch notes for this update, highlighting a focused set of additions that, while smaller than previous updates, are sure to keep players engaged.

Rivals fans, drawn by the intense FPS gameplay and unique weaponry, will find the Gunblade a welcome addition. This versatile weapon combines the functionality of a ranged rifle with the close-combat prowess of a giant blade, offering players new tactical options. It's particularly suited for the new Bridge map, a concrete arena in Seoul created by @GreatGuyBoom, which thrusts players into immediate, close-quarters combat with minimal cover, making the Gunblade's dual functionality especially advantageous.

While the patch notes for Rivals Update 9 do not list specific bug fixes, balance changes, or quality-of-life improvements, Nosniy Games has chosen to focus solely on the introduction of the Bridge map and Gunblade. However, minor adjustments were made to the skins of the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, alongside renaming the Hexxed Flare Gun, Hexxed Candle, and Hexxed wrap to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, and Vexed, respectively. The developers have assured fans that more comprehensive changes are on the horizon, with the much-anticipated Ranked feature set to be included in the next major content update.

NEW SPECIAL CHALLENGES!

The Winter Spotlight has been removed and replaced with a brand new set of challenges! Complete a series of tasks on the new Bridge map to earn keys & the limited time Bungeoppang charm!

OTHER

The Demon Shorty & Demon Uzi skins have been slightly modified. The Hexxed Flare Gun skin, Hexxed Candle skin, and Hexxed wrap have been renamed to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, & Vexed respectively.
