Rockstar Declares GTA 6 Trailer 2 as the Biggest Video Launch Ever

Rockstar Games has announced that the second trailer for *Grand Theft Auto 6* (GTA 6 Trailer 2) has set a new record as the biggest video launch of all time, amassing an astonishing 475 million views across all platforms on its debut day. This surpasses even the most successful movie trailer launches, including *Deadpool & Wolverine* with 365 million views and *The Fantastic Four: First Steps* with 200 million views in their first 24 hours. Even last year's *Superman* trailer, which achieved over 250 million views and was hailed as the most-viewed trailer in the history of both DC and Warner Bros., was overshadowed by GTA 6 Trailer 2's phenomenal performance.

It's interesting to note that the first trailer for GTA 6 (Trailer 1) garnered 93 million views on its first day, released exclusively on YouTube and becoming the platform's biggest non-music video launch. As of the publication of this article on May 8, GTA 6 Trailer 2 has already reached 85,276,196 views on Rockstar’s official YouTube channel.

IGN has reported a significant spike in Spotify streams for The Pointer Sisters’ track Hot Together following its feature in GTA 6 Trailer 2. The song experienced a staggering 182,000% increase in global Spotify streams within just two hours of the trailer's premiere.

Sulinna Ong, Spotify’s Global Head of Editorial, commented, “Grand Theft Auto cuts through popular culture like almost nothing else. Music has been synonymous with the series since the very beginning, so it’s great to see fans both new and established connecting with an iconic track in this way.”

The release of GTA 6 Trailer 2 comes after the game was delayed from its original fall 2025 release to May 26, 2026. With such immense interest in its trailers, GTA 6 is poised to be the biggest entertainment launch ever, setting new revenue records across both video games and movies.
