In Baldur's Gate 3, the rich tapestry of romance options captivates many players. Yet, there are hidden gems that often go unnoticed, like the encounter with Naoise Nallinto at Sharess' Caress. This fleeting romance can easily be missed due to its timing during a bustling part of the game. In this guide, we'll explore where to find Naoise and how to initiate a romantic encounter with her in Baldur's Gate 3.
To meet and romance Naoise, you need to progress to the early stages of Act III. As you journey towards Baldur's Gate, you'll pass through Wyrm's Crossing. During your initial visit, you'll need to meet Raphael at Sharess' Caress, a brothel located on the eastern side of the bridge leading into the city.
If you've already explored Wyrm's Crossing, you can fast-travel to the South Span of Wyrm's Crossing, which will take you directly to the front of Sharess' Caress.
Naoise can be found in a secluded chamber called the Nymph's Grotto. This room is on the second floor, accessible after passing through the door to the outside area. You'll recognize the correct door by the green light and ivy adorning the walls. The door is locked but can be easily opened with a lock-picking roll of 10 or higher.
Once inside, approach the bed where Naoise is engaged in an intimate moment with Jara, a Flaming Heart soldier. Your interruption will not be welcomed by Jara, but as she addresses you, a tadpole in her head interacts with yours. Jara confronts you, leading to several dialogue options. We recommend selecting:
Jara then speaks of the Absolute and transforms into a Mindflayer, which you must defeat. After defeating Jara, Naoise turns her attention to you, expressing her fascination with Mindflayers. Choose the following option:
An Insight check will reveal Naoise's interest in romance. Continue with:
Avoid judgmental responses. Naoise will mention her anticipation for the Mindflayer but suggests another 'flavor' could suffice. Proceed with:
This encounter unfolds entirely within your mind. Naoise asks you to choose 'what you will be?' with options such as:
Choosing 'Contented' leads to a brief romantic scene with Naoise. After the encounter, Naoise will have no further interest in you. If you revisit her, she'll mention that she can offer 'rapture' only once. Interestingly, this encounter does not affect your relationship with other romanceable characters, such as Karlach, who seemed unbothered by it.
Shadowheart will grant you the 'Carnal Rituals of Sharess' inspiration point following the encounter.
Upon successfully romancing Naoise, you'll receive the Rapture boon, providing a passive 1d6 bonus to nearly all ability checks.
