Phase 7 arrives just two months after Phase 6, which saw players return to Silithus to engage in the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest chain and the Ahn'qiraj raids. During their adventures in Ahn'qiraj, players encountered a mysterious Shadowy Figure lurking in the desert ruins. Although many speculated this figure to be Xal'atath, the main antagonist from World of Warcraft: The War Within, the NPC's cryptic remarks about the Old Gods in Phase 6 left players curious. Whether the Shadowy Figure will make a final appearance in Phase 7 remains to be seen.

As the culmination of Season of Discovery, Phase 7 promises new challenges for World of Warcraft Classic players.
