As a '90s kid, *The Next Generation*—which aired from 1987 to 1994 and was frequently rerun throughout the decade—holds a special place in my heart. It remains my favorite Star Trek series, despite the excellence of *Deep Space Nine* and *Strange New Worlds*, and the well-deserved acclaim of the original series. Captain Picard will always be my captain, and the crew, including Data, Troi, Worf, Riker, Geordi, Beverly, and even Wesley Crusher, are iconic. Even the first two somewhat uneven seasons evoke a warm sense of nostalgia for me.
